Aris and Marianne Mardirossian Endowed Scholarship
1) The scholarship will support the children of fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters or other safety and rescue professionals or volunteers who are students attending Montgomery College in credit or non-credit courses. Preferences will be given to students in the engineering program;
2) The scholarship can also be awarded to children of fallen soldiers who are students attending Montgomery College in credit or non-credit courses. Preference will be given to candidates who are involved with or supported by the Special Operations Warrior Foundation or;
3) If a suitable candidate for the scholarship cannot be found within the first two criteria, then the scholarship can support recent war veterans and active duty military who are students attending Montgomery College in credit or non-credit courses with a preference to those veterans and active military involved with special operations.
4) On a case by case basis, the scholarship may also be used in part to award a scholarship for the recipient of The Aris and Marianne Mardirossian Endowed Scholarship to transfer to a four-year institution upon completion of his or her Associate’s Degree at Montgomery College.
