John O'Neill Memorial Endowed Scholarship

1. Awards shall be for the purposes of tuition, fees, books, and/or supplies.
2. Student recipients shall be U.S. citizens who reside in Montgomery County at the time of the award and have financial need.
3. Student recipients shall attend Montgomery College, taking credit courses in pursuit of a degree.
4. Student recipients shall have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
5. Eligible applicants shall be identified by one of two criteria, in the following priority order: completion of the Gateway to College program (high school diploma) or by having earned a GED certificate (high school diploma equivalency).
6. If there are no eligible applicants who meet the immediately preceding criteria, then awards shall be made to any applicant who is enrolling in the fire science and emergency services program or, if there are still no eligible applicants, then to any applicant enrolling in the health sciences.
