Joel Atlas Skirble Hispanic Foundation Scholarship in Paralegal Studies

Los fondos de la beca se otorgarán para cubrir cualquier gasto relacionado con la universidad, incluidos matrícula, libros y otros pagos, con el fin de ayudar a los estudiantes a completar el programa. Los fondos también pueden otorgarse para cubrir cuotas de membresía de la sociedad de honor legal reconocida por Montgomery College.
Los beneficiarios de esta beca serán estudiantes que:
• Tengan necesidad económica;
• Estén cursando un título de asociado en ciencias aplicadas en estudios paralegales (AAS);
• Estén trabajando en el campo paralegal y tomando cursos o buscando un título para mejorar su posición profesional;
• Estén comprometidos a conocer y valorar las tradiciones, creencias, idioma y costumbres compartidas por personas de origen hispano, con el objetivo explícito de utilizar sus habilidades lingüísticas y paralegales al servicio de la comunidad.
• Y son bilingües en español. Si no se encuentra un estudiante bilingüe, la beca no será otorgada.

Scholarship funds will be awarded for any college related costs, including tuition, books, and fees to help ensure students complete the program. The funds may also be awarded for membership dues to the legal honor society recognized by Montgomery
College.
The recipients of this scholarship will be students who:
• Have financial need;
• Are working toward an associate of applied science degree in paralegal studies (AAS);
• Are working in the paralegal field and taking courses or seeking a degree to improve their professional standing;
• Are committed to an understanding of the traditions, beliefs, language and customs shared by people of Hispanic origin with the expressed goal of using their language and paralegal skills in service to the community;
• Are Bilingual in Spanish. If a bilingual student cannot be found, then the scholarship will not be awarded.
